How do I adjust a motion sensor's sensitivity?

You will need to consult the instruction manual that came with your specific sensor model.

Depending on the sensor, there are different ways to adjust sensitivity. Many hardwired motion detectors have DIP switches on their circuit boards that allows users to make adjustments. Some models require users to change the sensor's lens. There are even times where changing the sensor's programming loop on the control panel will actually allow for sensitivity changes to be made. Your motion sensor's user manual will detail the specific procedures necessary to make these adjustments.
