The first step is to test mount the 5811 by pairing it with the control panel and making sure you can stay within the maximum magnet/sensor range of 0.75 inches when the door/window is completely closed. If not, consult your installation guide to make sure you are within the maximum range. Once your mounting location is found, clean the surface. Using double-sided tape, mount the transmitter onto the door/window frame. Mount the magnet on the movable section of the window/door. Feel free to test this before mounting by having someone help you hold the magnet and transmitter in their respective locations and opening/closing the access point. |
