Can you mute sounds on the E985-R Lever Lock?

Yes, the E985-R can be programmed to mute sounds...but not all sounds.

In "mute mode", pressing keypad buttons and operating/programming errors will still be accompanied by a beeping sound. However, the warning alarm on the device will be deactivated. For this reason, Lockey recommends muting the lock only when it's completely necessary. Indicator lights will continue to function normally when the lock is muted.

To mute the E985-R, follow these steps:

1. Enter your programming code. The default code is "0000". If you forget your programming code, you will have to restore your device to its factory settings.
To restore: Press and hold the "R" button for 5 seconds on the inside of the lock's receiver module. Doing so will revert your lock back to its default programming code of "0000" (and a default user code of "1234").
2. Press the E-Digital Button.
3. Press (8).
4. Finally, press the E-Digital Button to save your programming changes.

Your locked is now muted. To disable the mute function, simply repeat the steps above.
