Should my Yuasa NP7-12 battery be installed in the upright position?

The NP7-12 battery is completely non-spillable, which means it can be oriented any way you like during installation.

12V, 7Ah sealed lead-acid batteries aren't called "sealed" for nothing. They are carefully constructed to prevent the leakage of electrolytes from the electro-chemical cells contained within the battery itself. For that reason, there is no specific way the battery needs to be oriented. However, the battery tends to be installed upright because that position gives users the easiest access to the battery's F1 terminal connectors.
