Free Alarm Lock DL-WINDOWS software runs as a secure Microsoft Windows-based application on any computer system (as basic as a desktop or laptop PC), a wired or wireless router, a gateway module, or on an internal LAN with static IP add. It doesn't require a dedicated computer, a special computer network, or expensive server software licenses.
A single gateway module may interface between the PC network and up to 63 Networx locks, minimizing hardware and installation expenses, with a range of up to 900' clear field range or up to 200' depending on building design. Trilogy Networx systems have a maximum capacity of 32 gateways, which can network up to 2000 locks or access-controlled doors. For the simplest networking, use Gen. 2 gateways and expanders.
Compact gateway modules that can be mounted on walls or ceilings come in wired-only and wired/hardwired (with Power Over Ethernet (POE) option) varieties. The wired variants of the hybrid model use an RJ-45 Ethernet connection, while the wireless models connect using either an 802.11, Ethernet cable or 100Base-TX (using an RJ45 jack). Both wireless 802.11F and conventional Ethernet 10BaseT are supported by Networx communications.
The system will locate and DL-WINDOWS will display each lock's signal strength at each installed gateway in discovery setup mode for the fastest and most reliable networked system, so you can choose it and optimize reliable communications and remove guesswork.
For continuous door access during a power outage or server offline scenario, lock programming, user, and usage data are maintained locally at the battery-powered lock Enterprise Networks, Real-Time Performance.
Additionally, Networx locks can be used in real time as wireless single-door controllers.
