    The MS1847 Deadlock/Latch for ultra-narrow stile aluminum sliding doors has an adjustable bolt projection and a self-protecting bolt.

    Function: A small lock that can fit into the stiles of very narrow sliding doors while maintaining the high level of security that these doors require. Two significant characteristics of the strong stainless steel bolt that are unusual in sliding door hardware. To begin with, it is movable: a full 3/16 "By turning an exposed screw in the lock's face, [4.8 mm] of bolt projection can be lengthened or decreased. This can correct a significant misalignment between the door and the jamb. The bolt is also self-protecting; if the door is closed while it is secured, the bolt will automatically retract upon making contact with the jamb. This automated latch can stop accidental lockouts or damage.

    Operation: For keyed operation, separate cylinder pulls are provided. There are three hub slot positions that enable installation even in situations where the jamb and stile design has very little turn clearance.

    Case: Dimensions are 1/2" x 3-3/16" x 1-1/8." "80.97 mm x 28.6 mm x 12.7 mm]. Steel is stainless.

    Bolt: three-ply stainless steel laminate. designed to bear a force of roughly 0.5 tons, either horizontally or vertically. Both door-from-jamb pry bar attacks and attempts to pull the door off its track are prevented by an anti-lift bolt.

    Faceplate: Full radiused ends or a rectangular face (see how-to-order table on back of catalog page for dash numbers).

    Latch Version: The stainless steel hookbolt on the MS1847-11 and MS1847-13 is identical, but the bolt is spring-loaded to enable automatic latching. The MS1847 Deadlatches have the same dimensions and accessory options as the MS1847 Deadlocks.

    Case-packed with mounting screws is the standard packaging. Separate turns and cylinder pulls are possible.
