How come my new Power-Sonic PS-1270 battery isn't working as well as the old battery?

Not to worry! It's actually quite common for new sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries, like the Power-Sonic PS-1270, to operate at 90% capacity.

Fresh, out-of-the-box SLAs often take 10-30 discharge/recharge cycles before reaching full capacity. Users can expect their new SLA batteries to function at around 10% lower Ah capacity until the battery is "broken in," once enough recharge cycles have taken place.
