The Von Duprin PS914-2RS High-Inrush Power Supply provides regulated low-voltage DC power and coordinated output control for electrically operated exit devices and commercial access control systems. Part of the Von Duprin PS900 Series, this configuration combines the PS914 4-amp power supply with a 900-2RS two-output option board for controlling compatible electrified door hardware. Designed for Von Duprin and Falcon electric latch retraction (EL) exit devices, the power supply accommodates the high initial current required to retract latch mechanisms while maintaining regulated power for normal operation. Its two controlled outputs support single-door and paired-door installations, allowing access control systems to activate electric latch retraction independently or in a programmed sequence.

The PS914 operates from a universal 120/240VAC, 50/60Hz power input and delivers a field-selectable 12VDC or 24VDC output rated at 4 amps continuous. Its switching power supply incorporates approximately 5% voltage regulation and a maximum output ripple of 360mV peak-to-peak. For compatible Von Duprin and Falcon EL devices, the PS914 supports a 24VDC high-inrush output of 16 amps for 300 milliseconds, accommodating the temporary electrical demand associated with solenoid-operated latch retraction. The integrated 900-2RS control board provides two switched 12/24VDC outputs with a maximum combined continuous load of 3 amps, subject to the power supply's overall capacity. Each control input accepts a normally open dry contact that becomes active when closed, allowing connection to compatible access control relays, key switches, and other low-voltage control devices.

The 900-2RS option board supports individually controlled and sequential output configurations using a field-selectable jumper. In individual mode, two separate control inputs independently activate their corresponding outputs, enabling separate control of two electrified exit devices. The cabinet includes a hinged cover, locking screws, and eight combination 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch conduit knockouts for power and control wiring. Its internal terminal arrangement separates high-voltage AC connections from low-voltage output wiring, and the enclosure provides space for compatible optional expansion modules. The power supply accepts the 900-FA fire alarm interface board through a supported option board, as well as the separately available 900-BB battery backup board or 900-BBK battery backup kit. Battery backup is optional rather than included in the standard PS914-2RS configuration. The power supply is designed for indoor installation within a specified operating temperature range of 32 F to 120 F (0 C to 49 C).
