What is a 5834-4 Wireless Keyfob?

Last Updated: 11/08/2013

Honeywell's most popular wireless keyfob is the 5834-4.

It boasts a 200 foot range that gives the user easy, four-button control over their entire security system. Users are able to program each of the four buttons on the key in any configuration they see fit.  Below is a typical set-up:

Upper-left Button:  Arms the system when you're leaving
Upper-right Button:  Disarms the system
Bottom-left Button:  Arms the system while you're staying on the property
Bottom-Right Button:  Panic Button

Holding down any of these buttons for three seconds will activate its respective function.  The security system will *beep* to confirm a message from your keyfob has been received.
