We have easy instructions for that!

Is the battery in your Honeywell 5834-4 wireless keyfob dead or running low? Here's a 4-step guide to follow:

1. Use a small phillips head screw driver to open the back of the key fob.
2. Pop the battery out by sliding a small flat-head screw driver underneath the battery on the gold tab side.
3. Slip in a new battery (+ side up) underneath the gold tab. Click into place by pushing down the opposite side.
4. Make sure you've installed the battery plus side up and that it clicked into place before screwing the cover back on.

The replacement Panasonic 3V CR2032 lithium battery you've installed has an expected life of 3 to 5 years.

The 5834 4-button wireless keyfob is Honeywell's most popular model. It's easy to program and it boasts a 200-foot range, giving the user 4-button control over their entire security system.
