Activating Chime Mode...

This process works for both the L5100 and the L5000. Disarm the control panel. Click "settings" on the home screen. Locate "Chime" and touch the "On/Off" icon beside it to turn on chime mode. Press it again to turn it back off. Once your L5100 is on the proper setting, press "Save", and return to the home screen.

What is Chime Mode?

In Chime Mode, your security system will warn you whenever a perimeter access point (door or window) is opened by sounding three audible beeps, Chime mode functions while the system is disarmed in order to inform users when someone is entering or exiting the house. For zones with programmed descriptors, the security system will announce the descriptor as well. These perimeter zones that have been opened will appear on the L5100 keypad display.
