What deadbolt lock should I use with the LYNX Touch L5100?

Last Updated: 11/13/2013
The Yale YRD210 and YRD220 Z-Wave deadbolt locks are great to use with the L5100.

To make your L5100 a Z-Wave device controller, you must first install the L5100 ZWAVE Module. Once installed, up to four Z-wave home automation locks can be controlled by your L5100. Then replace your traditional deadbolt locks with the Yale Z-Wave locks for a more convenient, remote-locking experience.

You have the option of synchronizing the locks with the control panel user code so that the system arm/disarm user code will automatically lock/unlock the Z-Wave Yale deadbolts. The reverse would also be true. If you were to enter your 4-digit user code on the Yale lock, your alarm system would automatically be armed. Typing the code into the Yale lock again would unlock the door and disarm the security system.

As if this setup isn't convenient enough, users subscribing to Honeywell's Total Connect Service would be able to lock/unlock the Yale Z-Wave deadbolts using a smartphone.
