The HES 9400 Series Electric Strike is a slim, surface-mounted locking solution for commercial rim exit devices (panic bars) with up to a 1/2" throw latchbolt. Its low-profile design (only 5/8" thick) allows it to mount directly on the frame without any cutting or modifications to the surrounding door frame. This makes the 9400 ideal for retrofit installations on existing doors or aluminum frames, saving time and preserving the door frame integrity. Despite its compact form, the 9400 Series delivers heavy-duty performance, exceeding ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements for strength and durability.
