The DSB is a dual sense bar that is intended for use on magnetically locked, non-fire rated doors. Operated by mechanical movement, this bar will provide a function that does not require a human touch to work. So that someone with prosthetics or have their hands occupied can easily push in the bar to unlock the door. At 6 to 8 pounds depending on the length it is made to work with both standard and non-standard door widths.

When unpacking the product, you should be provided with the DSB, a hardware pack and a traditional power cable or electrolynx harness. In the hardware pack it should include four Philips truss head screws, four blind nuts, four plastic flat washers and finally one blind nut collapsing tool.

This exit device can be installed on all types of interior metal, aluminum or wood doors. It has a unique design which delivers superior fault tolerance with two independent, redundant switch circuits for releasing the lock. The dual sense bar has an electrical of 24 mA at 12VDC or 24VDC, while the DSB with illumination can be 44mA at 12VDC to 24VDC. It is resistant to interference from radio frequencies or electromagnetic frequency and external impact attempts. It also has an operating temperature of +32 to +120F (0 to +49C) and for indoor use only.

The DSB is made to fit multiple standard U.S. door openings. The different models vary in color and illumination. There are the black anodized models such as DSB-BK (36”), the DSB-BK42 (42”) and the DSB-BK48 (48”). Then there are the black anodized, illuminated models like the BSK-BKI (36”), the DSB-BKI42 (42”) and the DSB-BKI48 (48”). Next are the clear anodized models with DSB-CL (36”), the DSB-CL42 (42”) and the DSB-CL48 (48”). There is an illuminated version of the clear anodized with the DSB-CLI (36”), the DSB-CLI42 (42”) and the DSB-CLI48 (48”).

The next sets of models are the dual sense bars with electrolynx. There is the EL-DSB-CL (36”), the EL-DSB-CL42 (42”) and the EL-DSB-CL48 (48”). Lastly the TC P-BK (Touch Bar Cover Plates – Set of 2, Black Anodized) and the TC P-CL (Touch Bar Cover Plates – Set of 2, Clear Anodized) finish the long list of models.
