Edwards Signaling 5540M-24AQ Adaptatone Millennium Central Tone Generator Synchronized System Signaling,Four Outputs, RS485 Activation Also known as: 5540M24AQ, ED-5540M24AQ Edwards Signaling 5540M-24AQ Division 2 Rated tone generator for use with Millennium Class multi-tone signals. Four inputs, four outputs.
The simultaneous signaling of a loud, powerful signal is necessary in applications for which the Edwards 5540M Millennium Central Tone Generator was created. The tone generator ensures that all remote speakers produce a synchronised signaling sound. The 55 Adaptatone standard tones are generated by the Millennium Central Tone Generator. Field-wired, typically open contacts, as well as a 24VDC or 120VAC external voltage source, such as a PLC output, can both be used to activate four tones.
The Cat. No. 5538-4 or Cat. No. 5538-4R Adaptatone Signal Actuator can provide normally open contacts. Within the device, tiny dip switches that allow for tone selection are set. The programmed tones function according to a pyramid-style scheme of priority. Refer to the catalog pages mentioned to the left for more details on priority tone operation and a comprehensive list of all 55 tones.
By adjusting the conveniently placed volume control inside the unit, on-site volume control is possible.
With the 5540M-485Y6, you may fully control serial signaling communication by connecting it to RS485 networks.
Industrial applications requiring high decibel output, microprocessor dependability, and simultaneous signal delivery over all of the system's speakers are the target market for Adaptatone Signaling Systems. Emergency warning systems, plant evacuation alarms, security intrusion sirens, process monitoring, shift start-and-dismissal horns, and paging signals are a few examples of typical applications. |
