Electrify mechanical exit devices with an electrical latch retraction kit. Since fire-rated doors do not allow mechanical dogging, mechanical crash bars or panic exit devices be converted to feature electrical dogging. These kits allow any user to change the dogging mechanism of an emergency crash door to be electrical. As per fire code requirements, fire doors require positive door latching which can only be provided by electric latch retraction or dogging. They are easy to install and user-friendly for compatibility with panic exit devices.
