The Bosch VDN-498V03-21 is a vandal resistant 2x model day/night camera that can be used in any indoor/outdoor application. The unit uses a 1/3 inch, wide dynamic range CCD sensor and incorporates advanced (20-bit) digital signal processing for outstanding picture performance.
The 498V03-21's 20-bit image processing enhances sensitivity; the 2X-Dynamic extends the dynamic range. This unique combination provides a sharper, more detailed image with outstanding accuracy in color reproduction even under harsh lighting conditions.
The 498V03-21 features cast-aluminum housing, polycarbonate dome, and hardened inner liner can withstand the equivalent of 55 kg (120 lbs) of force. The enclosure contains the full-featured camera and integral varifocal lens. Ideal for outdoor use, the cameras are protected against water and dust to IP 66 (NEMA4X) standards. The camera enclosure provides the extra protection necessary for applications such as schools, banks, prisons, parking garages, retail and industrial buildings.
With a 1/3" CCD image sensor and a 2.8-10mm (f/1.2) varifocal lens, the Bosch VDN-498V03-21S Day/Night FlexiDome 2x Camera (Surface Mount) provides high-quality images with a maximum resolution of 540TVL.
FlexiDome 2x Camera's pan/tilt/rotation mechanism allows you to set the desired field of view for enhanced image capturing. The auto black function enhances the visibility of details in misty or foggy settings where the scene contrast is not at its maximum range. Backlight correction corrects the exposure when an object is photographed in front of a strong light by adjusting the video gain.
The video cable enables you to alter the camera's settings, monitor its status, and update its firmware from anywhere using Bilinx technology. The technology utilizes the conventional video cable to communicate warning and status messages, hence enhancing the overall performance of the camera and decreasing the time required for service/installation. AC and DC operation are supported, and the LineLock and phase adjustment features for AC operation are included.
The 20-bit image processing technology enables the camera to capture photographs with greater clarity in both bright highlights and dark shadows. The camera utilizes an IR cut filter to flip between color and monochrome based on the prevailing illumination conditions.
For security purposes, privacy masking can be used to obscure certain areas of a scene. The camera's default shutter speed captures fast-moving objects when there is sufficient light. It enables up to six separate, pre-programmed operation modes that can be altered easily via Bilinx or the external alarm input. The camera's tiny, sleek design and nearly flush-mount appearance make it a great choice for a variety of surveillance applications and match any décor.
The camera's built-in video motion detection enables the selection of a programmable area with a unique threshold. Alarms can be presented via video signals or communicated via Bilinx in response to motion sensing. The standard shutter speed lets you to capture fast-moving things when there is sufficient light. The SensUp dynamic feature enhances sensitivity by boosting the CCD's integration time by up to 10 times, which is advantageous when using only moonlight for illumination. The FlexiDome 2x Camera incorporates a surface mount for easy installation. |
