Bosch D273IS Four-Wire Smoke Detector with Isolated Heat Sensor & Sounder


  • Also known as: DS-D273IS, BOS-D273IS

    • The Bosch D273IS four-wire photoelectric smoke detector uses an infrared (IR) LED light source and a silicon photodiode to measure light in a chamber. A fine screen covers the chamber to deter insects and to reduce dust accumulation and nuisance alarms.

    During a fire, smoke particles reflect light onto the photodiode. When the photodiode measurements exceed the alarm threshold, the D273IS signals an alarm condition. After the alarm condition clears, interrupt power at the control panel to reset the detector.

    The D273IS is equipped with an isolated 135F (57C) heat sensor.

    4-Wire Smoke Alarm with Isolated Heat Sensor and Alarm. This detector model is UL-listed and compatible with both commercial and residential fire warning systems. Detects smoke particles produced by the combustion of wood, paper, and fabric. Sounders emit 85 decibels at 10 feet (3 m). This detector model measures light in a chamber using an infrared (IR) LED light source and a silicon photodiode. The chamber is covered with a fine screen to deter insects, reduce dust accumulation, and prevent nuisance alarms. Smoke particles reflect light onto the photodiode during a fire. When photodiode measurements exceed the alarm threshold, the detector triggers an alarm. After the alarm condition has been resolved, power must be cut at the control panel in order to reset the detector. When a D132B Reversing Relay Module is utilized, the alarm LED does not latch.
