The Bosch BRS-RAC2-8200A is a recording station encased in a 19-inch rackmount with 16 TB storage capacity in a 2U high chassis. The unit's software is pre-installed on a dedicated appliance that is ready to go out of the box. The application provides a simple to install and intuitive to use solution for managing multiple locations.
The BRS-RAC2-8200A supports live viewing and recording at any resolution up to 2048 x 1536 pixels (3 Megapixel) including HD widescreen resolutions and manages up to 64 IP video sources.
The BRS-RAC2-8200A can be programmed to respond to specific situations and events automatically. In response to alarms, the system can be programmed to record at a higher quality and to transmit images or messages to security personnel.
The pre-installed Bosch Recording Station software on the Bosch Security Systems BRS-RAC2-8200A 8-Channel Recording Station 2U Rackmount (16 TB) allows it to record footage from up to 8 IP cameras in multiple locations. A standard PC equipped with BRS Viewer can serve as a video viewing station. This recording station ensures the highest level of data security by supporting RAID 5. In addition, this system offers live surveillance video viewing and recording at a resolution of up to 2048 by 1536 pixels.
Designed as a centralized remote management system, the recording station provides easy access to all the data, whether you are on-site or at a remote network location. Throughout the entire network, live and recorded video can be retrieved. You can view live/recorded images from multiple remote locations on a single PC via the scalable graphical user interface (GUI) that is built-in. This allows security managers to simultaneously monitor and supervise multiple locations, even if remote stations are connected via WAN. Multiple user authorization levels can be used to set individual permissions for each user determining system access rights, thereby enhancing security.
Individual configuration of parameters such as camera viewing and control, playback and export of recordings, and types of permitted system configuration settings is supported by the recording software. The recording station can be programmed to automatically respond to specific situations and events. Additionally, it can respond to alarms by recording videos of higher quality and transmitting alarm messages to the security staff.
The BRS-RAC2-8200A Recording Station keeps a database containing a log of events including login, logoff, status changes, image transmission, video export, and system shutdown. The database information is easily transferable to Microsoft Excel.
This IP video solution is also compatible with a variety of security and building management systems, including fire and access panels, ATM and POS terminals, number plate capture and video content analysis solutions.
