American Fibertek RTX486 Panasonic PS Data System, Multimode, One Fiber Rack Card, ST Connectors, 1310nm Tx


The American Fibertek RTX486 is a one fiber rack card transmitter with ST optical connectors. The unit is a component of the 486 Series which transmits and receives two channels of RS485-2 Wire data over a single multimode optical fiber.

The system is comprised of transceivers forming a point-to-point or multi-point communications link. The system is designed to be compatible with the Panasonic PS Data protocol including the RJ-12 interface. For ease of installation, diagnostic indicators provide a quick visual indication of system status. Rack cards are mounted in the American Fibertek Card Cages: SR-20/1, SR-20/2 or SR-20R/1.
