    The Steel Hawk 4300 Electric Deadlatch (eLatch) combines electrified access control with mechanical locking hardware that is non-handed, narrow in backset, and non-handed. The 4300 eLatch works with common aluminum entrance door preparations and combines mechanical locking hardware with electrified access control. Always a handle or paddle device that can be used from the inside. entry by an access control device or a keyed mortise cylinder. Fail-secure lock with a form "C" latch status monitor, which is optional. The basic 4300 is rated for continuous service and runs on 12, 16, or 24 volts of DC power. The quick connect plug-in style connector is included with the units. interchangeable with MS Deadlocks or 4500 and 4900 Deadlatches without the need for stile modification. Required door thickness is 1-3/4". The spring-loaded latchbolt can be released by turning the key, applying voltage, or moving the handle or paddle. Continuous duty for timed applications is electrically rated. a connection to access control. utilizes an MS cam and any common mortise cylinder.
