How do I connect a GSMV4G Cellular Communicator to the Vista 15P Control Panel?

Last Updated: 11/07/2013
To Install the Cellular Communicator...

Mount the GSMV4G's plastic enclosure on the wall beside the Vista 15P, unless there is poor cellular reception where your Vista 15P is located.  If this is the case, you can locate the cellular communicator in an area with better signal and run a wire connection back to the control panel.

Power down the Vista 15P by disconnecting its AC transformer and back-up battery.  Now you have to create a connection from your control panel to the ECP terminals on the GSMV4G using four-conductor wire.

Connect:
GSMV4G's 3rd terminal to the Control Panel's 5th terminal using the red wire.
GSMV4G's 4th terminal to the Control Panel's 4th terminal using the black wire.
GSMV4G's 5th terminal to the Control Panel's 7th terminal using the yellow wire.
GSMV4G's 6th terminal to the Control Panel's 6th terminal using the green wire.

Connect terminals 1 and 2 on the GSMV4G to the two screw terminals on the AC transformer using two conductor wire. Plug the transformer into a regular wall outlet.  Then reconnect the back-up battery, followed by the control panel's AC transformer.  Close the plastic cover and your cellular communicator is now installed.  Make sure to contact your alarm monitoring company for product activation.
