Most IP communicators must be activated by a manufacturer's registered dealer/monitoring company for proper installation. There are a multitude of internet communicators to choose from, but most require AlarmNet dealer activation to work with your security system. This means you must sign up with an alarm monitoring service in order to use an IP communicator. After signing up, just connect your IP communicator to an operating Ethernet cable and plug it into a power source. The final step is to have the monitoring company activate your newly-installed internet communicator on their website. |
