Here's how to install the E985-R receiver module.

1. Take off the battery cover by pushing up and pulling it out.
2. Unlock the turnpiece (put in horizontal position), then connect the IC wire. Be careful not to pinch the IC wire.
3. Use screws to mount the receiver module to the door. The wood screw included can be used as desired.
4. Load 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries into the receiver module.
5. Replace the battery cover.

The receiver module...
let's the lock communicate wirelessly with a transmitter. In this case, that transmitter would be the wireless Lockey E-Remote. The E-remote is a key fob that remotely locks and unlocks E-Digital Series Electronic Locks (like the E985-R) at the push of a button. It fits on standard keyrings and makes unlocking/locking your doors easier than ever without sacrificing safety.
