To adjust the backset on the M-210 Deadbolt...

1. Lift up on the threw pin.
2. Slide the interslide to the back of the deadbolt. This will move the slotted hole to the 2 3/4" setting.
Note: 2 3/8" is the default factory setting.

Move a wood drill up and down inside the 7/8" mortise hole to enlarge it. This gives the "CAM" room to move. Also, make sure to drill a hole in the door frame that can accommodate the 1" throw.
