What kind of battery does the 5811 wireless sensor use for power?

The 5811 uses a CR2032 3V lithium dioxide coin cell battery.

Renata, Panasonic, and Sanyo brand lithium batteries are recommended. As soon as a low battery indicator appears on your Honeywell Control Panel, you have about 30 days to replace the battery before the sensor stops working. RF Supervision errors are also common when the battery is low because the lack of sufficient power can weaken the sensor's signal strength. That's why batteries should be replaced promptly after a low battery message appears on the control panel.

Replacing a battery...
Open the 5811 back plate by using a flathead screwdriver to turn open the notch. Pop out the old battery and replace with a new CR2032 lithium cell battery. Then snap on the back plate. The low battery message on your alarm keypad will be cleared away as soon as the control panel recognizes that a new battery has been installed in the 5811 wireless door / window sensor.
