What is the difference between the Vista 20P and the Vista 21iP?

Last Updated: 11/07/2013
Both of these panels actually have a lot in common.

The Vista 20P and the Vista21iP each have eight hardwired zones but can employ zone doubling to reach a maximum of 48 zones without ever having to use a 4219 zone expansion module. They each support 8 keypads and two partitions, and are great for residential and commercial applications alike.

The difference lies in their respective communicators. The Vista 21iP includes an onboard IP communicator which allows for instant IP monitoring. The Vista 20P, on the other hand, requires a 7847i communicator to attain IP communication with the monitoring station.

To achieve cellular communication with central station, Vista 20P can use either the GSMV4G or the GSMX4G. The GSM4G must be installed for the Vista 21iP to have cellular communication.
