The exterior trim locking is managed by the E7500. In situations where codes allow locking but demand unlocking during a fire emergency, the door's ability to remain latched when unlocked preserves the door's fire rating. For mechanical override and night latch functionality, the exterior trim cylinder retracts the latch bolt. exclusive to TP, K, or L functions. The E7500 lock has two SPDT signal switches: one to track the latch bolt's condition (whether it is locked or unlocked), and the other to track the condition of the outer trim. |
