ANSI/UL 294 Listed

UL Certificate of Compliance (CoC)

The EMB, which is an electromechanical exit bar, is used on magnetically locked, non-fire-rated doors or as an initiate device for a delayed egress timer. Pressing the bar would activate four internal switches that provide transparent, dependable lock operation. There are optional waterproof switches. Note, to order any electromechanical bar listed with waterproof switches, you just add the letter “W” to the front of the part number. However the all metal construction of the bar stands up to the toughest environments. The EMB meets the “no special tools or knowledge” requirement. Its shipping weight is 7lbs to 9lbs depending on the length and has an operating temperature of -4 to +185F (-20 to +85C). This allows it to be used both in and outdoors. All of its metal construction stands up to the toughest environments.

When receiving the EMB, make sure all the components are with it. Included should be the EMB, the push to exit label, the TSB-C and mounting hardware. In the mounting hardware package should be four 1/4-20 blind nuts, four external tooth washers, four Ό-20 x 1” long Phillips pan head, two end mount retainers, two E-clips and finally one blind nut installation tool. There are two models that are more accessories to make the EMB to your liking. The TCP is a touch bar cover plate which will cover up any previous construction done for a previous touch bar. The TCP-BK is that cover plate in a black anodized color, and the TCP-CL is that same model but clear anodized. Lastly there is the TSB-TDM which is a mounting kit that allows the bar to be installed on a surface that is thicker than what the average mounting tools can accomplish.
