With the ability to choose up to 16 power limited outputs, the AQU244 series is a powerful and versatile solution to your power supply needs. It comes with multiple protective safety measures to keep the power flowing even during a failure, and features a low frequency that keep the output clean along with eliminating interference with card readers.

One of the great features of this series is a smart fan inside the 14" by 14" by 4.75" enclosure that keeps the temperature steady by changing the fan speed to make it cool. The fan is powered by a header when it's mounted inside the enclosure. Keeping the operating temperature steady will extend the life of the unit. You can also decide if the access control inputs and outputs have a fire trigger in either PTC or with fuse/dry contact, if they have fire relay only, or if there is a fire relay input with configurable outputs.

The unit includes a battery charger built for precision, and supports up to two sealed gel, AGM or wet lead acid batteries. The batteries range in capacity between 4 and 40 Amp hours. The AQU244 comes with a 12" plug-in battery cable assembly and series cable. If you want to mount the battery remotely, you can also get a 36" assembly. Using a standby battery with these cables ensures your power will remain uninterrupted. If you need to remove the battery from the output terminal, there is a service switch that will disable the power supply, and de-energize the battery cut off relay.

There are many safety features designed to protect the power supply and its battery. The aforementioned battery cut off relay will keep the battery from discharging too low, which causes damage, by cutting the battery off from the load at its service limit. If there is a power failure, a power trouble alarm relay with form "C" contacts that alert you when the battery reaches 70% capacity. It will also trigger an alarm if there's a high voltage failure. If needed, this relay can be connected to a buzzer or signal device as an extra alert. There is a self-resetting circuit breaker in the event of overcurrent or reverse battery hookup. These units also provide supervision in the form of LEDs for AC Input, normal power, DC On, Main Power at each PDB-8C, and Every Output.

The AQU244 series has 4 Amps at 24 VDC of continuous output with a maximum output of 5 Amps. The input voltage ranges from 90 to 240 VAC and 47 to 63 Hz. The voltage can be between 9.8 to 13.67 VDC, but is usually around 13.65. The unit will work in AC brown out all the way down to 60 VAC, and if there is a surge the fuse will be protected. If there is an issue with the product, Securitron offers a MagnaCare lifetime replacement policy with no fault warranty.

All the models comply with EN 55022 and FCC, and most have additional listings. The only two that don't are the AQU244-8C8R and AQU244-16C16R. The regular AQU244 has one output and listings for UL 294, UL 603, ULCS318.96, and CSAC22.2 No. 205. Both the AQU244-8C and the AQU244-16C have 0.72 Amp PTC fuses, and are UL 294, UL 603, ULCS318.96, and CSAC22.2 No. 205 listed. The 8C has eight outputs, while the 16C has sixteen. The AQU244-8C1R and AQU244-16C2R both have 1.23 Amp PTC fuses and are listed for UL 294, as well as being UL 603 and ULCS318-96 recognized. The 8C1R has one fire relay and eight outputs, while the 16C2R has two fire relays and sixteen outputs. The AQU244-8F8R and AQU244-16F16R both have 0.5 Amp rated fuses and are UL 294 listed. The 8F8R has eight outputs and eight access control fire relays, while the 16F16R has sixteen of both. The AQU244-8C8R and the AQU244-16C16R have 1.04 Amp PTC fuses. The former has eight outputs and access control fire relays, while the latter has sixteen of each.
