The heavy duty but compact AQU128 series of low frequency power supplies provide a reliable stream of power to any access control systems without requiring a plug-in transformer. The 14" by 14" by 4.75", 7.65 lb enclosure comes with a variable speed smart fan to keep the unit cool, and extend its life as much as possible. The low frequency offers efficiency, and avoids causing interference with card readers.

You'll be able to stay aware of any serious issues with the power supply thanks to LED's that indicate AC input, normal power, DC on, main power at each PDB-8C, and all of the outputs. There is a form "C" contact that provides a power trouble alarm in the case of AC power failure, low battery, or a high output voltage. The battery will cut itself off via relay if it detects the charge is too low, and is float charged to replenish its power quickly without locking up. The unit will still work even in the event of a brown out as long as there is at least 60 VAC, and will work in an overvoltage situation up to 260 VAC. The power board is protected by fuse and PTC resetting circuit breakers in case there is an overcurrent, thermal runaway, or reverse battery hookup condition. The fuse is protected against AC input and DC output surge. If there is an issue with the unit during its lifespan, Securitron offers a MagnaCare Lifetime Replacement policy with no fault warranty.

These single voltage power supplies have a 96 VA 8 Amp/12 VDC continuous output and a universal input range of 90 to 240 VAC at 47 to 63 Hz. The maximum output voltage is 120 VA, 10 Amps at 12 VDC. The voltage is usually around 13.65 VDC, but ranges from 9.8 to 13.67 VDC. The AQU128 supports up to two sealed gel, AGM or wet lead acid batteries, and runs at a temperature of -4 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, or -20 to 40 degrees Celsius.

The units have a few different installation options depending on the needs of your customer. They come with configurable access control inputs and outputs with fire trigger in either PTC or with fuse/dry contact. You can also customize it to be fire relay only, or configure the outputs with a fire relay input.

There are nine different models in the AQU128 series. The only one that isn't Class 2 Power Limited is the AQU128, which has one output and is UL 294, UL 603, ULCS318-96, and CSA C22.2 No. 205 listed. The AQU128-8C and AQU128-16C both have the same listings, but the 8C has eight outputs, and a 1.5 Amp rated PTC fuse. The 16C also has a 1.5 Amp rated PTC fuse, but has 16 outputs. The AQU128-8C1R and AQU128-16C2R both have 1.23 Amp rated PTC fuses and are UL 294 listed, and recognized under UL 603 and ULCS318-96. The 8C1R has one fire relay, while the 16C2R has two fire relays. The AQU128-8F8R and AQU128-16F16R both have 3 Amp rated fuses and are UL 294 listed. The 8F8R has eight access control fire relays, while the 16F16R has sixteen access control fire relays. The AQU128-8C8R and AQU128-16C16R both have 1.04 Amp rated PTC fuses, but only the 16C16R is UL 294 listed. The 8C8R has eight access control fire relays, and the 16C16R has sixteen access control fire relays.
