    The new Bioscrypt FingerVein Reader from L-1 Identity Solutions is a full featured device for Security and Building Administrators who want to deploy a Biometric Access Control system but want a step above standard Fingerprint Biometric Readers. The FingerVein Reader images the veins in a fingertip using near-infrared light to gather biometric data. This reduces the overall impact of skin surface conditions such as cuts, dirt or moisture and allows for consistent, accurate and speedy processing. Given the biological nature of veins, it is difficult to forge and impossible to manipulate them, as they are invisible to the naked eye. With the combination of unique vein patterns along with leading-edge technology, that translates to high accuracy rates in matching your employees to their Biometric Templates. This version of the FingerVein comes without any integrated credential reader, making it a two-factor security solution involving PINs and Biometric data information. An added wireless component allows administration of the FingerVein over a wireless network connection.
