JMAC Supply Return Policies


General Policy:

JMAC Supply accepts returns for Brand New merchandise within 14 days of delivery. JMAC Supply DOES NOT accept returns of any item that has been used or installed. All return requests must be initiated by completing the Return Request Form which can also be found on the bottom of this page. You may also E-mail us at Support@jmac.com. Refunds which may be due are credited back to the original payment method within 5-10 days following receipt of the return. Shipping charges are not refundable and returns may be subject to restocking fees in accordance with our policies below. Defective item claims are handled in accordance with the product manufacturer’s warranty policy. We recommend sending any returns via a track-able, insured carrier service for your protection.

Depending on the type of return or “Return Category”, one of the following policies will apply (they are described below):

Unopened Item Return Policy:

This policy applies to items that are unopened and in Brand New condition. Brand New means that the merchandise is untouched and has never been installed or used in any way, the manufacturer’s seal (if any was present) is still intact, and all components of the product including any enclosed literature and manufacturer packaging are present and in perfect condition. Items which have been opened are not included under this policy.

In order to return an item under this policy, the following criteria must be met:

- A return request must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.
- All merchandise must be unopened and in Brand New sealed condition with all components and manufacturer's literature and packaging.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable*
- Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

- All returns must be sent back in an external shipping carton. Items which are sent back in their product packaging or whose product packaging has any markings, signs of wear or damage will be refused.

Upon receipt of your return, the item(s) will be inspected to ensure that they are in the condition specified above. Once the return has passed inspection, your original payment method will be credited for the merchandise amount (shipping charges are non-refundable*) less a 7% restocking fee.

* Many items for sale at JMAC Supply are offered with Free Shipping. When these items are returned, actual shipping costs will be deducted from any refund that is due.

Defective Merchandise:

We encourage you to report any defect as soon as it is noticed to ensure that you can take advantage of any warranty benefits which may apply. Please do so by submitting your claim using the Warranty Service Request Form which can also be found on the bottom of this page.

ALL items ordered from JMAC Supply are brand new (unless otherwise explicitly noted on the product page) and shipped to you as is in their original packaging from the manufacturer. All manufacturer's warranties apply and we are glad to represent our customers in facilitating a warranty claim when defective merchandise is received or discovered during use. Please visit the product manufacturer's website or contact us to find out more about any specific warranty coverage. Please Note: While we do assist our customers by facilitating the warranty claims process with the product manufacturers, JMAC Supply does not provide any warranty of its own. As such, any policies stated, course of action selected or procedure employed by a product manufacturer with regard to warranty coverage is the sole remedy available to obtain warranty service.

Upon receipt of your Warranty Service Request, we will contact the manufacturer to determine how the claim will be handled under their policies. We will then contact you with further instructions on how to proceed.

When we receive your defective merchandise, it is forwarded to the product manufacturer for warranty service. Most manufacturers test these items upon receipt to confirm the product’s defect. If it is determined that the item does not contain any defect, or has been damaged through incorrect use of any kind, the item will be returned to you at your expense. Additionally, some manufacturers will assess a “Bench Fee” if they find that the item does not contain any defect. Any charges assessed by the manufacturer or shipping charges incurred in connection with a warranty claim are your sole responsibility. Should any charges be assessed, you will be contacted by a customer service representative to collect payment information.

Please be advised that depending on the nature of your claim, and the manufacturer of the item, you may be offered a replacement or an in-warranty repair. We will do our best to represent our customer's interests to secure the best possible resolution. Ultimately however, it is the manufacturer's decision and we cannot be held responsible for the method that is chosen.

In certain situations, you may be required to troubleshoot an item with a manufacturer's tech support prior to being issued an authorization for warranty service.

Note: There are times when the warranty claim process does not happen as quickly as we would like. Please be advised that we are doing everything we can to ensure that you receive the proper service as quickly as possible.

Opened Item Return Policy:

This policy applies to items that are still in new condition but have been opened or tested without marking or damaging the item in any way. Items that are marked in any way, missing pieces or packaging, repackaged or damaged cannot be returned and will be refused upon receipt.

(In order to avoid any costly restocking fees or return shipping fees, we encourage you to confirm compatibility or functionality prior to ordering an item. Our staff may be able to assist you in selecting the proper items for your application).

In order to return an item under this policy, the following criteria must be met:

- A return request must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.
- All merchandise, literature and packaging must be present and in reasonable, like-new condition.
- Items that have been "mounted" or show other signs of wear and tear or customer use cannot be returned and will be refused upon receipt.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable*.
- Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
- All returns must be sent back in an external shipping carton. Items which are sent back in their product packaging or whose product packaging shows signs of wear or damage will be refused.


Upon receipt of your return, the item(s) will be inspected to ensure that they are in the condition specified above. Once the return has passed inspection, your original payment method will be credited for the merchandise amount (shipping charges are non-refundable*) less a restocking fee between 17% and 25% depending on the item or manufacturer.

* Many items for sale at JMAC Supply are offered with Free Shipping. When these items are returned, actual shipping costs will be deducted from any refund that is due.


Used or Installed Merchandise Policy:

JMAC Supply DOES NOT accept returns of any item that has been used or installed. While some items that have been opened may qualify for refund under our Opened Item Return Policy, this designation is at our sole discretion.

General Notes:

  • We cannot accept returns on merchandise that has been damaged, shows any signs of use, or is missing any parts, or manufacturer's literature or packaging. We reserve the right to refuse delivery or assess additional restocking fees for any return that is received in such conditions.
  • All returns may be subject to a restocking fee in accordance with our stated policies.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable and it is the customer's responsibility to cover any costs related to returning a product. Many items for sale at JMAC Supply are offered with Free Shipping. When these items are returned, actual shipping costs will be deducted from any refund that is due.
  • We reserve the right of final determination of any items Return Category.
  • Any consumable items such as batteries, transformers, wire, blank media, film, paper, or bulbs cannot be returned.
  • No returns are accepted for Biometric Readers or Projectors if the original seal is not intact.
  • Any return that does not meet all of our stated conditions, will be returned to the customer at their expense.
